environmental certification, ISO 14001:2004, at two of its U.S.-based
divisions, highlighting the Company's commitment to minimizing
environmental impact.
This certification by the International Organization for Standardization
(ISO) recognizes the company's commitment to managing the ecological
impact of its business and its consideration of environmental issues in
its decision-making practices. Barnes Aerospace's Lansing, Michigan, and
Ogden, Utah facilities received the ISO 14001:2004 certification for
reducing natural gas, electricity and water use, as well as decreasing
non-hazardous waste and process waste scrap. Both facilities also
upgraded their chemical cleaning lines to reduce environmental impact.
