BRISTOL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 2006--Barnes Group Inc.
(NYSE: B) today announced that Jerry W. Burris has been appointed
President, Associated Spring, a business unit of Barnes Group Inc.,
effective July 1, 2006. Mr. Burris succeeds Gregory F. Milzcik, who
was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the
Company in February.

Mr. Burris comes to Barnes Group with more than 20 years of
experience in key management and executive positions with General
Electric Company (GE). Most recently, he was President and Chief
Executive Officer, GE Advanced Materials, Quartz and Ceramics in
Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to this, Mr. Burris was General Manager for the
Global Health Services business of GE Medical Systems. Since joining
GE in 1986, he has held a series of management positions with
increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and product management.
