BRISTOL, Conn., Feb 21, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Barnes Aerospace, a business unit of Barnes Group Inc.
(NYSE: B), today announced that it is expanding operations in
Singapore with the opening of its third facility, a 37,000 square-foot
manufacturing location, to produce precision aerospace components for
use in a wide range of aircraft engine applications.
Barnes Aerospace has two other facilities in Singapore, one for
aftermarket operations and the second for original equipment
manufacturing (OEM), each providing state-of-the-art capabilities. The
Singapore operations are an integral part of Barnes Aerospace's
strategy to improve overall competitiveness, leverage existing
infrastructure, and provide global manufacturing capabilities to
support production of new aircraft engine components and aftermarket
spares.
