Bristol, Connecticut, February 5, 2001 - Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE: B) today announced that the company's treasurer, John J. Locher, 56, will be retiring at the end of February, 2001. Locher joined Barnes Group Inc. in January 1982, and after serving as vice president and corporate controller for 10 years, was appointed vice president and treasurer in 1992.
David J. Sinder, 52, has been named acting treasurer. Sinder, assistant treasurer, has been with Barnes Group since 1988.
